Sai joined NEA in 2020 as an Associate on the Healthcare Team focused on investments in life sciences and digital health. Prior to joining NEA, Sai was a member of Credit Suisse’s Biotechnology and Global Healthcare Investment Banking Groups in San Francisco and New York, where he worked on the IPOs of Avidity Biosciences, Stoke Therapeutics, and Satsuma Pharmaceuticals. He also helped execute several M&A transactions across the medical devices and healthcare services sectors, including 3M’s acquisition of Acelity, Danaher’s public spinout of Envista, and KKR’s buyout of Envision Healthcare.
Sai graduated magna cum laude from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.S. in Economics with dual concentrations in Finance and Statistics as well as a minor in Biology. During his time at Penn, Sai conducted research in preventive cardiology at Penn Medicine and was a venture consultant for Apple Tree Partners, conducting diligence on late-stage life sciences investments. Sai hails from St. Louis, Missouri.
