Zak joined NEA in 2020 as an investor on the technology team, where he focuses on consumer and enterprise technology investments. Zak also works closely on Connect Ventures, which is our investing partnership with CAA. Zak is a board observer for Narmi, and supports across several NEA companies including Contra, Patreon, Fightcamp and Pair.

Prior to joining NEA, Zak was a merchant banker at The Raine Group in New York where he worked on transformative M&A transactions and growth equity investments across the technology, media and entertainment landscapes. While at Raine, Zak worked on Sprint’s merger with T-Mobile, Pearl Abyss’ acquisition of CCP Games, Silver Lake Partners' investment in City Football Group and Joe Tsai’s acquisition of the Barclays Center and Brooklyn Nets.

Zak graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science. While at Columbia, he was the President of the Economics Society and held leadership positions in the International Students Group and Delta Sigma Phi. Zak is proudly British.
