Shanna Hendriks
Director, Portfolio Services - Business Development, Menlo Park
Shanna joined NEA in 2014, and leads Business Development on the firm’s Portfolio Services team. She manages the executive corporate briefing program providing enterprise relationship support for NEA’s portfolio, helping them punch above their weight with introductions and meetings, while also helping corporate organizations and enterprise partners with their journey to digital transformation. Motivated by the eureka moment that comes when technology buyers are introduced to relevant innovative solutions, Shanna knows that bridging these two audiences leads to more streamlined and efficient technology advancement. Leveraging the firm’s investors and network provides support for this program by featuring topic experts and providing a layer of diligence to fuel growth and success. In addition to helping the Global 2000 execute against their innovation strategies, Shanna manages broad portfolio services initiatives including portfolio company on-boarding, NEA’s portfolio community and vendor platforms, and portfolio-focused events and content distribution.
Shanna has supported technology companies for the last 16 years—spending eight years at some of the leading PR agencies in the country, working across all industries, from emerging technology to consumer to Fortune 500 tech. Following her term on the agency side, Shanna shifted to in-house PR roles at Shutterfly, and then Tesla Motors, where she launched Model S, the Supercharger network, and supported the company’s store rollout.
Shanna moved to the Bay Area from Canada in 2004. She attended Algonquin College for Public Relations in Ottawa, Ontario following a short career as a veterinary technician specializing in intensive and critical care after graduating from Seneca College and interning at the Animal Medical Center in New York.
