Nicole Hatcher

Deputy General Counsel, Menlo Park

Nicole joined NEA in 2021 after serving as one of NEA’s outside counsels for almost ten years. Nicole is the fund’s Deputy General Counsel and primarily handles deal execution. Prior to joining NEA, Nicole was a corporate partner in the Palo Alto and San Francisco offices of Foley & Lardner LLP. She regularly represented venture capital funds, angel investors, and public and private companies in financings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions. Nicole also has experience at firms Cooley LLP and DLA Piper LLP, as well as at legal tech startup, Atrium.

Nicole earned a B.A. at the University of California Riverside and received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, cum laude. She is a member of the state bar of California.
