Anita Sands is an experienced board-director, investor, advisor, and speaker. Anita spent ten years in C-suite positions in financial services in Canada and the U.S. including as Group Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of UBS Wealth Management Americas before pivoting into the tech sector nine years ago.
Her current portfolio includes serving on the board of directors of several public and private companies including ServiceNow, Nubank, Circle, and Jumpcloud. As a director, she has advised management teams on a broad range of business and governance issues including fundraising, IPOs, SPACs, hyper-growth and scaling, major M&A, divestitures, private equity and activist investors, multiple CEO transitions, and operational restructuring. Bringing her background in tech, public policy and financial services together, these days she’s pretty obsessed about what’s going on in the world of crypto, digital assets and defi.
In addition to her board work, Anita was most recently the James Wei Visiting Professor in Entrepreneurship at Princeton University, where she taught a class on female entrepreneurship. She is a contributor to Forbes.com in the areas of leadership and strategy and is the creator of the #Wisdomcards, bite-size nuggets of wisdom she’s picked up over the past two-decades that she shares on her social media each week.

A former Fulbright Scholar, she holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Management as well as a Ph.D. in Atomic and Molecular Physics.
